Personal Note : I will remember this quote each time Lowfield Heath's Church Spire appears through the morning mist at Gatwick. All that remains of this ancient village is St Michael's and All Angels. It is now full of airport warehousing and one hotel. The church has now closed. It is in the way of the proposed new second runway. Only one person lives there now - a 93 year old man on airport land parallel to the runway. He is also in the way...
